Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the heart of Ilford, Mehak Grill House offers a vibrant fusion of Pakistani, Indian, and Chinese cuisine, making it a go-to destination for lovers of rich, flavorful fast food and takeout delights. This bustling spot at 786 High Rd is renowned for its generous portions, authentic spices, and unbeatable value, perfect whether you're grabbing a quick meal or enjoying a family feast.

The menu at Mehak Grill House is a celebration of diverse tastes catering to all cravings. Among their standout offerings are the Family Meal deals that guarantee satisfaction and great value: choose from a 2 People Deal featuring both a veg and non-veg curry, complemented by succulent kebabs, fluffy naan breads, and soft drinks—all for just £21.99. For larger gatherings, the Family Deal ups the ante with chicken curry, lamb curry, vegetable curry, rice, a trio of kebabs, five naan breads, and a generous 1.5L soft drink for £37.99. These combos are a true feast, perfect for sharing and indulging in the rich, aromatic flavors that Pakistani and Indian cuisine are celebrated for.

For those who appreciate the sizzling delight of tandoori dishes, Mehak Grill House serves seekh kebabs, tender and smoky, perfectly paired with fried onions, fresh lemon wedges, and crisp salad for just £10.49. Vegetarians can savor the Paneer Tikka, grilled to perfection with charred edges that bring out the creamy, spiced flavors at £9.49. Chicken enthusiasts will delight in the marinated chicken wings, bursting with a symphony of pepper and yoghurt-spiced heat, straight from the tandoor.

The Chinese menu adds a deliciously different dimension, featuring inventive dishes such as Fried Crispy Chicken in a sweet and spicy sauce, or the subtle tang of Chicken in Lemon Sauce—both priced affordably at £8.00. The Chicken with Cashew Nuts in Yellow Bean Sauce offers a lovely balance of textures and flavors, appealing to those seeking something both comforting and exciting. Customers rave about the huge Chinese jumbo boxes, generously packed with egg fried rice and duck in plum sauce, making it an excellent choice to satisfy large appetites or share with friends.

Step inside Mehak Grill House, and while the ambiance is more casual and straightforward, its warmth emanates through the food and friendly service. The freshness of each naan, the aromatic curries simmered to perfection, and the sizzling tandoori dishes create a sensory experience that leaves a lasting impression. While some patrons have noted that the restaurant can feel a bit chilly due to drafts near the entrance, the improved refurbishment has vastly enhanced the overall vibe, transforming the space into a welcoming spot to enjoy dynamic, hearty meals.

Customers consistently praise the generous portions and exceptional value, with one loyal visitor highlighting that the curry and naan meal for two is so abundant it can be shared among several people. Another review applauds the freshness of the naan bread and the immense satisfaction derived from the jumbo Chinese lunch boxes. This blend of affordability, generous servings, and genuine taste makes Mehak Grill House a beloved staple within Ilford’s diverse food scene.

Whether you’re craving the bold spices of Pakistani kebabs, the comforting allure of Indian curries, or the savory delights of Chinese takeout, Mehak Grill House delivers an authentic, appetizing experience that invites repeat visits. The Stereotypes Are True Regarding Chinese And Pakistanis. I Ordered: Small Lamb Curry - £5 Fresh Naan - 99p Jumbo Lunch Box (Egg Fried Rice With Duck In Plum Sauce) - £11.99 Total: £17.98 (Divided By 2 Is £8.99) Their Food Really Does Contain Flavours That Make It Enjoyable For Breakfast, And The Chinese Portions Really Do Get Served To The Brim After Paying A Cheap Price. The Naan Was Mega Fresh, Straight Out Of The Clay Oven, With A Soft Shell And Crispy Bubbles, Perfect For Dunking Into The Lamb Curry, Which Was Delicious, With No Bones, Just Soft, Tender Meat Smothered In A Flavoursome Sauce That Reminded Me Of Being At An Asian Wedding.. That’s How Qualitative It Was. Despite The Salad Being Kinda Plain, Once Added To The Dunk, There’s Now A Nice Variety In The Texture From Saucy To Soft, To Tender, To Crispy To Crunchy. Basically Going Up The Periodic Table Of Textures, If That’s Even A Thing. Oioioi Look At That Portion. Now The Plum Sauce Kinda Got Me On Edge With The Gooey Texture, But Giving It A Try Made Me Go Ahaa, This Reminds Me Of A Kinda Jam-Like Sauce, Which Is Interesting And Mixes Well With The Duck, Which BTW Is My First Time Ever Trying It, And If I Had To Describe It, It’s Tasty Like Chicken, With A More Firmer Texture Like Meat You Gotta Kinda Yank With Your Teeth. And Yes, The Egg Fried Rice Tasted Fresh, Had Flavour, And Worked Really Well To Uplift The Sweet Saucy Duck Side To Higher Highs. I Was Pleased And Kinda Full From The Lamb Curry Alone, So I Took The Duck Home To Let Someone Else Taste The Stereotype I Tasted.

First time here and food was really tasty. We ordered from the curry menu the meal deal for two which was really good value for money £19.99, good portions and good taste. Wr ordered the karai gosht and pander tikka masala which was very tasty. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that the restaurant was really cold as the doors did not shut fully and let the cold in.

Very nice selection of meat and vegetable currys. All on show so you can make your choice. Different rices sides and starters to pick from. Good value for money. Two kebab rolls in a nan bread with salad sauces and a can of drink for £6.99, better than most fast foods available and tastes better!

Place has been in need of a refurbishment for such a long time, and finally, it has happened. It looks 100 times better, and the food is still good. I think the owners are new as some of the recipes seem to have changed, but the food is nice and edible. Will go back and try some more dishes. Get the front doors fixed, as it's freezing and the draft is destroying the atmosphere. Portable heaters in the corner are not good enough.

This place is now under new management, interior looks new and trendy but the food is just as good as before! This is a restaurant where you would come often to have some good no frill honest food, nothing fancy or outstanding just regular Indian food. I did not try the Chinese items, no particular reason just that if I wanted to eat Chinese I would go to a Chinese place. Service was good not sure why there are some negative comments about service. The girl waiting our table was alert and sincere, that is good enough I guess. Definitely worth visiting again! Return visit: tried the Chinese items and they were really good, no complain!

Was the second visit at Mehaks and i must say the food taste and service was very exceptional and would most definitely recommend to family and friends to try this spot. I ordered the chana masala with naan and sheek kebabs. I asked for fresh coriander and green chillies on top and they gave me a small bunch for me to put how much i wanted to my standard.

Not our first time here. We had Fish biryani Egg biryani Kharhi ghost 2 samosas All food is freshly cooked so is pipping hot. Full of flavour. A huge menu including Chinese which we haven't tried. Waitress was new, smiley and very helpful. Is more of a cafe environment but was nice and busy for 1830 on a Sunday evening. Thoroughly recommend
